You don't need to have the blues to enjoy three days of first-rate music at the Destination Blues Festival. National blues acts will take the stage from February 19-21, 2016 at various venues in Bloomsburg, PA near Wilkes-Barre.
Three days of stellar, soulful blues music is at the heart of the 3rd Annual Destination Blues Festival in Bloomsburg, PA, which is about 45 miles west of Wilkes-Barre. The eclectic event, which features blues performers from all across the United States, begins on Friday, February 19 and runs through Sunday, February 21, 2016. If you're lucky enough to be there, you'll hear the sweet sounds of Gabe Stillman and the Billtown Giants, Vanessa Collier, Sweeney Blues Revue, Bobby Kyle Band, BLUES JAM, The Cedric Burnside Project (a Grammy nominee), Harper, and Samantha Fish.
Various restaurants and pubs in Bloomsburg and nearby Danville will host the performances on Friday and Saturday nights, including Berwick Brewing, Bandit's Roadhouse, Turkey Hill Brewing, Balzano's, Rose Marie's, West End Ale Haus, and Seidel's Mardi Gras. And for your utmost convenience, there will be free bus service between all the locations. On Sunday, the Pine Barn Inn in Danville will feature the Blues Brunch from 9:30 to noon, and Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomsburg is where Alexis P. Suter and the Ministersof Sound will appear with a local choir at 1:00 p.m. No tickets are required for any of the shows except for the oneon Saturday at the Caldwell Consistory and the aforementioned Wesley United Methodist Church program.
